At Truck Melanoma, we know that some of the best conversations happen around a table with good food, a cold drink, and great company. That's exactly the idea behind our SPF Campaign: Sunscreen, Pints, Friends.
The concept is simple: enjoy the sunshine, enjoy your favorite beverage, enjoy time with friends—but don't forget to protect your skin. That's why we're excited to share that in less than one month, nearly 900 free sunscreen samples have been distributed to patrons at 1847 Food Park & Taphouse. What started as a simple sunscreen station has quickly become an example of how small actions can make a big impact. Whether guests are enjoying lunch on the patio, gathering with friends after work, or spending a sunny weekend afternoon at the food park, they're choosing to take a moment to protect their skin before heading back out into the sun. The response has been so positive that Truck Melanoma recently delivered approximately 500 additional sunscreen samples to help keep the program stocked and available for visitors. For us, this is exactly what the SPF Campaign is all about. Sunscreen. Because protecting your skin shouldn't be complicated. Pints. Because community gathering places provide an incredible opportunity to reach people where they already are. Friends. Because the best prevention efforts happen when people look out for one another. Every sunscreen packet distributed represents an opportunity to prevent sun damage, reduce skin cancer risk, and start conversations about melanoma awareness. These simple moments help advance Truck Melanoma's mission of promoting sun protection, encouraging early detection, and saving lives through education and outreach. We are incredibly grateful to the team at 1847 Food Park & Taphouse for embracing this partnership and helping make skin cancer prevention a visible part of their guest experience. And we're just getting started. Truck Melanoma is currently working with 1847 Food Park & Taphouse on plans for a future community outreach event that will bring skin cancer awareness directly to the food park. While details are still being finalized, we're excited about the opportunity to combine education, prevention, and community engagement in a fun and approachable setting. Because awareness doesn't always have to happen in a clinic or at a health fair. Sometimes it happens over a burger, a beer, and a conversation with friends. To everyone who has grabbed a sunscreen sample, shared our mission, or helped spread the word: thank you. Your support is helping us prove that prevention can happen anywhere. If you stop in to the food park, grab a beer, grab some sunscreen, snap a photo and tag us on Instagram. @truckmelanomaofficial So the next time you're enjoying a sunny day at 1847 Food Park & Taphouse, remember the Truck Melanoma SPF formula: Sunscreen. Pints. Friends. Protect your skin. Enjoy the sunshine responsibly. Help us continue the fight against melanoma.
