Where the idea all began!

Rigs and Coffee featuring Team Truck Melanoma!

This is exciting, Team Truck Melanoma has the opportunity to do a melanoma outreach at the Ironman 4x4 America Rigs and Coffee taking place tomorrow morning, Sept 9th. It was about one year ago that the starting idea that truly kicked off TTM came to me, WHILE I was at a Rigs and Coffee at Ironman 4x4! I am so excited that we will be able to do our outreach at the place where the whole thing was conceived and cannot wait to see what impact we can have with the overlanding aspect of the Motorsports community. 

We will be out at Ironman with the LentiGO, as well as General Sherman, the TTM tow rig/overlanding rig offering up melanoma awareness and doing free skin checks! I am so thankful for the continued support of the War on Melanoma and the dermatology department at OHSU along with the fantastic OHSU Medical students that are more than eager to help make everything a success. 

At TTM we have been very busy the last month working on writing and submitting grant proposals in the hopes that we can make out impact even larger! It has been tiring, but I know that the effort will pay off. 

The last exciting part of new for now is that we have an official invitation for and outreach booth at the Winter 4x4 Jamboree in Hurricane Utah. We are very excited as this is our first opportunity to take our message to a larger event, as well as one out of state.  This will be a huge opportunity for us as we continue to pursue our goal of taking TTM nationally!
